Hi, I’m Tee! One thing you should know about me, I’ve always valued creative self-expression and individuality. To the likes of “location, location, location” for real estate, “accessorize, accessorize, accessorize” is the key to individual style and showcasing your identity. Bluntly, I think of jewelry as the upscale baseball cap. You wear a cap with your college on it because it’s part of your identity. And maybe someone in passing spots it, strikes up a convo, and suddenly you’re bonding. Accessories work the same way. I’ve struck up more than a few convos because of my jewelry, while I’m working on OSO, in coffee shops, coworking spaces, equinox (you soho eqx members sure are chatty).

But I've found myself becoming more of a jewelry window shopper these days. Great for my finances, not so great for my creative expression. It comes down to a few things:

1) I only buy quality jewelry. I don’t see the point in spending $70 on a gold-plated piece with CZ that lasts less than a year. As they say, buy it nice or buy it twice.

2) Real metal and gems have become unattainable. Welll, I guess anything’s attainable for a price. Sure, distrust of the US government hasn’t helped with gold prices, but even before that. Growing up with quality and value driven purchase decisions baked into my DNA (hi, Chinese roots), I started looking into the industry. The markup is beyond your, and my, belief. But as lab grown technology has developed, quality diamonds and precious stones are no longer priced only for once (or twice for some of you)-in-a-lifetime engagements. 

My answer to that is Off Script Objects. Pieces that I, for the above reasons, would buy in a heartbeat. Our pieces are an extension of yourself, that speak your personality for you while you’re sitting alone, typing away at a coffee shop (take a guess what I’m doing right now??).
